In 2007 101 Design opened an office in the Wollongong CBD, to build on an already solid client-base, and build on new opportunities in the Illawarra and Sydney regions. Over the past eight years, 101 Design has managed to be at the leading-edge of the industry with it's obsession in staying ahead of the competition in technology, computer equipment, but most importantly design fashions and trends to ensure clients are never felt to have an obsolete idea or style, particularly when i t comes to print technology and most important web and search capabilities. 101 Design and it's client base include an an impressive range of Government, advertising, corporate, entertainment and IT companies.
Troy Hawkins has over 10 years of expertise in the graphic design, web design and advertising industry. Before establishing 101 Design, Troy graduated from the University of Wollongong, Majoring in Graphic Design and New Media. Upon graduating, Troy gained valuable experience in North Sydney working in a design studio, in collaboration with a major advertising agency giving him experience working on accounts such as BMG Music, Toyota and Nikon. This gave Troy the opportunity to work for Telstra's Advertising Agency, Sensis. Working out of the Wollongong CBD office gave Troy experience as a designer before moving into an Advertising Editor position where he oversaw the cover design and print management of the nationwide Yellow and White Pages, as well as managing major local accounts for each area of Australia. After gaining such broad experience in both the print and industry, Troy was able to establish 101 Design, where he set out to provide, creative yet practical design solutions for his ever expanding client base.
Peita McInerney, is the back bone of the studio, with her impeccable finance experience and innovative management skills, it allows the creative types of the business to do what they do best! With accreditation as an MYOB partner and numerous years experience in the cut and thrust of Sydney Advertising with the Blue Star Group, Peita was quickly picked up by 101 Design and has grown to be come a highly valuable asset to the studio.
Lisa Hawkins (Troy's Sister), is our enthusiastic and talented art director. Majoring in Graphic Design and New Media, Lisa graduated at the University of Wollongong and also studied at the University of New South Wales and University of Technology Sydney, where she specialised in Visual Communication and Interactive Design. With a background in advertising, publishing, illustration, web design and creative studio work, Lisa provides creative solutions with diverse design styles to meet the unique requirements and goals that each client or campaign needs. Lisa's design work has been primarily based in Sydney and the North Shore, as well as nationally and internationally. Her experience has extended across a wide variety work within the graphic design industry, designing for clients such as the United Nations (UN), Subway, Arnette, Chanel & Engin Broadband. |
