Located approximately 85 kilometres (by direct line) from Sydney on the NSW south coast, Wollongong is the regional capital of the Illawarra region of New South Wales and is the primary commercial city in the region. Its CBD is bound by the suburbs of North Wollongong, Gwynneville, West Wollongong, Mangerton and Coniston.

Access to the Sydney International Airport is facilitated by excellent motorway and road infrastructure providing access by car within 60 minutes. Ingress to and egress from to Southern Freeway in a southerly direction can be found less than three kilometres north west of the subject site to the centres of Port Kembla, Horsley and Shellharbour. The Princes Highway provides motorway access to Sydney, Sutherland and Campbelltown.

The proposed ECO24 development located at 24 Market Street, Wollongong NSW 2500 is situated on the immediate fringe of the Wollongong CBD commercial core within a prime node. The site is located approximately 40 metres from the Corrimal and Market Street intersection on the north western side. It is north of Crown Street and some 300 metres north east of the retail precinct of Crown Street Mall.

Public transportation can be easily accessed via the new planned free City Shuttle proving access to the central train station which is located approximately one kilometre (direct distance) from the subject site to the west. Regular train services service Wollongong and provide efficient and rapid access to Sydney CBD. There is a bus stop located within 80 metres on the corner of Corrimal and Market Street currently serviced by Premier Illawarra and bus terminal located at the train station.

On Wednesday 3rd December 2008, the Minster for Illawarra David Campbell announced a new, free, high frequency loop bus service for Wollongong City to start operation in early 2009. Operating seven days a week, this free CBD shuttle will run from the University to Hospital, Wollongong station, CBD, the beach front, Innovation Campus, TAFE and back to the University. This bus service will run within close proximity to the subject property.
